We are always happy to grate cheese for your fondue.  We recommend 200 grams per person grated (not including the rind). We stock Gruyere, Swiss Emmenthal, Vacherin Friebourg, Appenzeller (Classic / Surchoix / Extra) and most other types of cheese you might like in your fondue mix

We stock cornichons, pearl onions and balsamic onions

Please call ahead and we will have your order ready for you to pick up.

Fondue fuel is not included


We are happy to slice cheese for your raclette. we recommend 200 grams per person if it is for the main meal, or 100 grams per person if it is to be only part of the meal. We stock raclette from Switzerland, France, Quebec and BC.

Don't own your own Raclette machine or Fondue Pot?

We also are happy to loan you a fondue pot or raclette machine if you don't own your own.  All that is required is that you purchase your cheese from us for your event, and a valid credit card number for deposit.

Equipment must be returned the next day. Please book ahead to ensure availability.

Fondue pots and raclette machines must be returned within 24 hours. Additional days be be booked at a cost of $10 per day for each fondue pot and/or raclette machine.

Equipment loans are subject to availability.

Please Note: Due to the high demand for our free rental service, if any equipment is not returned to les amis du FROMAGE in acceptable condition within seven days after your event, the replacement cost will be charged to your credit card without notice.


We do not deliver, but equipment may be picked up and returned anytime during business hours, seven days a week.  Please check our store hours for exact times
